SLEEVES AND GROMMETS, FASTENER
This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department
of Defense.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This specification covers the requirements for fastener sleeves and grommets
for use in over-sized fastener holes in aerospace structures.
1.2 Classification. Sleeves and grommets are classified as shown in tables III through V.
1.3 Part or identification number (PIN). The PIN to be used for sleeves and grommets
acquired to this specification is created as follows (see 6.2 and tables III through V). Part
numbers from the legacy specification sheets have been retained to support continued
procurement.
